In recent years there has been a growing trend in removing the venerable old A series engine/transmission and fitting something a bit more modern!

Back in 2004 we recieved a request to carry out such a conversion, using the watson kit we converted a nice mini clubman to Honda Vtec power! the result was something of a monster! with 176bhp on tap this was one of the quickest minis we have built, there are of course other engine types such as vauxhall that give similar results, along with the latest motorcycle engined conversions, we are able to undertake such conversions using any of the kits currently availiable and using your choice of engine, These conversions do require a very sound mini to begin with and most will require major changes to the car to accomodate the different engine and all its requirements such as alterations to the brake and clutch to make room for induction, major body alterations for rear engined motorcylce engines etc. costs are high in most cases but if you are looking for ultimate performance and reliability from a mini then this type of conversion is for you!
